00 HourlyDescriptionThis position is responsible for providing mental health support services to Dane County Drug Court Diversion Program (DCDP) participants with mental health concerns.
The person in this position will collaborate closely with Treatment Team members, including the case manager and external treatment providers, to develop a treatment plan and recommend appropriate mental health interventions for participants.
The person in this position must demonstrate professional conduct and high ethical standards, maintain client and agency confidentiality, and work within the State of Wisconsin mental health counselor's scope of practice.
Review each participant's intake assessment and assist DCDP team with referral recommendations for mental health treatment based on clinically determined levels of care.
Maintain regular communication and consultation with case managers to assist in appropriate referral and coordination of services with community mental health treatment providers.
Conduct mental health screenings and evaluations for participants who may have mental health needs or diagnoses using evidenced-based screening tools.
Develop brief intervention treatment plans with participants who are awaiting referral/connection to external mental health (M.
H.
) service providers in the community.
Provide brief, targeted mental health triage and crisis intervention services as needed.
Facilitate mental health support/education group as needed.
Provide DCDP team with information on mental health treatment resources in the community.
Services will emphasize determining and addressing the individualized treatment needs of each client, with a focus on connecting BIPOC/LGBTQ+/other people with diverse treatment needs to culturally relevant mental health providers.
QualificationsEducation & Work
Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Counseling, or other licensable Human Services related field required.
Valid license to provide mental health counseling (training license is acceptable).
At least 1 year experience working with individuals with M.
H needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability working with BIPOC individuals and others from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge in working with individuals with comorbid M.
H.
and SUD diagnosis.
Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic I.
T.
skills.
Experience working with correctional clients preferred.
